Gamma Seals are used in highly contaminated environments. They work in the same way as our V-Rings, but with the rigidity and contaminant protection of a metal case. These seals are well suited for use in rotary applications in which high contamination reduces the life of radial seals and bearings. This type of axial seal is designed for an application in which solid, and or solid high speed particulates are an issue in the environment. Sealing axially against the housing to protect the seal, and or bearing in critical applications. The seal consists of 2 components: An elastomer sealing element and a metal case. Fitted directly on the shaft and spins with the shaft perpendicular to the housing.
DDS Gamma seals are produced in 2 types: RE and RE1. Available for shaft diameters from 10mm to 225mm.
